1 day.

Meeting with a guide on the railway station (the tour is effected on our transport), on Vosstanie Square (the tour is effected on the transport of the client). Breakfast. Trip to Polenovo. The museum can be proudly called the memorial to the Great Russian painter. It contains one of the biggest collections of Polenov’s masterpieces. Having the excursion you will not just enjoy the nature of Tula Region, but also learn many interesting facts, for example:

Do you know that none other than Levitan is considered to be a disciple of Polenov?

Polenov’s picture “Jesus and the Woman Taken in Adultery” was sold to the emperor Alexander II for the incredible price which appeared to be enough for finishing of the estate construction, building of the church in Bekhovo and establishing school for village children.

Sail by ship from Polenovo to Tarusa.

Tarusa is an ancient Russian town. It is an important cultural centre of Russia, the story of life and creative activity of many painters and poets, writers and directors is connected with this town. In this town we will visit the house-museum of Marina Tsvetaeva.  Future poet Marina and her sister Anastasia used to spend a lot of time in the house of their grandfather. The Tsvetaevy family often stayed at Tarusa house for the whole winter. The mistress of the house S.D. Mein asked to call her “aunt” as she was not a kinswoman of the Tsvetaevy but she came from Switzerland that is why she spoke Russian bad. As a result, instead of the word “aunt” (*in Russian sounds like tyotya) she pronounced “tju”. First this word became her nickname and later the house itself was called “House of Tju”. Precisely in the “House of Tju” the museum of the Tsvetaevy family was opened on October 04, 1992.
